Trip of a lifetime

The resort was amaazziinngg which made the trip the best trip ever. I went for my birthday weekend and was upgraded from a studio to a one bedroom . The service was great with a few exceptions. There were some times when I felt like I was being mislead by the resort staff but overall amazing. If you plan on staying here I would plan your excursions without the resort. This is an all-inclusive resort but they will literally expect you to tip for every couple steps you take. So, be sure to have cash or pesos for that. Also, Try their Tempura sushi roll with eel sauce, steak quesadilla and mud slide drink. Another thing to be aware of is there are a bunch of mosquitoes .. Bring bug spray... I left with about 20 bites. Another tip, if you plan to go off of the resort is don't drink anything with their ice or water. I went to a club with my two other friends and we all shared one drink and we were sick for the next three days but luckily that was the last night of our trip. Last tip ..DONT GET SWINDLED INTO DOING THE 90 MIN BREAKFAST PRESENTATION. They will mislead you by saying its a breakfast for 90 mins and promise a ton of things you wont receive. Its a sales presentation where they try to get you to sign up for a timeshare. It takes close to 3 hours... So decline when they offer it to you at check in. Otherwise, enjoy your trip !!!

Greatest resort

This was probably the best resort I’ve stayed at. Every staff member I came in contact with always had a smile and genuinely was happy to be there serving me and my group. I did not come across one rude person. Another reason this resort deserves 5 stars is that the food at every dining spot was nothing short of delicious! I highly recommend trying the ceviche! Lastly, the drinks were impeccable! Each one was made better than the last! I highly recommend this resort to anyone thinking of going

Lovely Holiday

Only gripe was when we arrived the room wasn't clean as we had arrived late due to a delayed flight.

Great first time in Mexico

My fiancé and I just returned from five days at this all inclusive resort. We cannot say enough good things about the hotel itself - The grounds were absolutely beautiful and the landscaping was immaculate. We were upgraded to a one bedroom suite and it was like a huge condo — it really was amazing. The room was well appointed with two bathrooms, a full kitchen should you need it, including a refrigerator where there was a daily stock with water and snacks and beer if you’re on the all-inclusive plan. There is also a full-size washer and dryer which is always awesome on vacation though we didn’t use it! The balcony was my favorite part and we loved to sit out there in the mornings. I am a huge beach lover and not a pool person but this resort fortunately was able to change my mind for the time we were there. If your beach lover like me, you’ll probably be a little disappointed by this beach. There is a substantial amount of seaweed/seagrass and the resort tries to do a good job of getting rid of it. Bring water shoes if you’re squeamish of walking through it, Or just simply walk down the beach a little bit further which is what we did and find an entrance without seaweed. Again I am not us we missed person but the stench of the seaweed especially when the tractor all by was enough to make my stomach turn. The resort has amazingly beautiful pools - several of them - including an adults only pool so that is where we spent the majority of our time in the sun. The poolside drinks service doesn’t hurt! We also use the hot tubs at night. they were great to help us relax even more. The food it’s pretty standard for all inclusive resort. We tried every restaurant and while each one was good I think Zama was probably my favorite for dinner. Fiancé would probably say that his favorite was the steakhouse. Please be advised that you have to have reservations for the steak restaurant. I was especially disappointed in the bites bar at the pool - Pizza was terrible and the quesadillas were an insult to the Mexican food that I enjoy in New York City. But of course it is very Americanized. The staff members were all excellent, from the front desk to housekeeping to the waiters and bartenders. Tomas at the buffet for breakfast really made our experience so much better when he brought us mimomas! Ask for him! If you’re looking to get more than tipsy on vacation, I don’t know if this is the place for you. I found personally that the drinks were very watered down and sugary. I did see people ordering extra shots of straight liquor to put in their drinks. The Tiki bar on the beach with the swings just put you right into a vacation state of mind!!! We took the advice of the Amstar representative and booked the luxury catamaran excursion to Isla Mujeres. Hands-down this was the highlight of our trip and I can’t recommend it enough. They take you snorkeling and let you jump in the beautiful clear waters off of the island. Also serve lunch on the boat which was OK but we wish that we would’ve had a little bit more time to eat on the island. Overall this was our first time to Mexico and we were pleasantly surprised especially with how beautiful and luxurious the resort felt. I did get a little sick though I’m not sure what it was from exactly, as I did not get sick. If you are looking for beautiful beaches look elsewhere. However if you are just looking to have a relaxing vacation at a gorgeous resort then this is definitely the place for you

Hotel Description

Villa del Palmar Cancun Luxury Beach Resort & Spa in Mexico: Playa Mujeres and Full-Service Spa

Not everyone has the good fortune of living right on the beach, so instead of making the trek with the kids every weekend, just head for your home away from home at Villa del Palmar Cancun Luxury Beach Resort & Spa in Mexico. Cancun has never been more family-friendly than it is at this resort, removed from the Hotel Zone's rowdy parties. Fun activities and relaxing amenities are just a few reasons why families pick this elegant all inclusive resort.

A huge stretch of Playa Mujeres welcomes fearless youngsters ready for jumping waves and splashing up a storm while their parents grab cervezas and drag sun loungers right up to the water's edge. Two pools are the best way to cool down, especially with the awesome waterfall bridge. Swim up an appetite and sit down to dinner at one of the three restaurants; you can dine on yummy tenderloin at La Casona, hearty rigatoni at Davino's and fresh sushi on the terrace at Zama Restaurant. Practice your salsa steps to live music after dinner before stopping at Tiki Beach Bar for a nightcap.

Hanging out at the beach is popular at Villa del Palmar Cancun Luxury Beach Resort & Spa, and there are plenty of ways to enjoy the scenery. Have a kayak race with the kids, snorkel through the underwater kingdom or test your reflexes with windsurfing. Golfers have their pick of courses with more than 10 golf courses nearby, and relax-ationers soak up the soothing at the hotel's spa. Take a trip through the hydrotherapy circuit before letting the stress melt away on a massage table.

When it's time to call it a day, we think the suites at this resort are the perfect choice. The Two Bedroom Suite sleeps up to eight and features a fully equipped kitchen in case you want to whip up a midnight snack. The upscale perks, like a flat-screen TV with pay-per-view movies and balcony with an ocean view, make you feel right at home.
