Need improvement

Most of the grounds nice. 2/3 of personnel friendly but you can ordered one thing and will get something different. Breakfast may takes from 30 min up to 2 hours (scrambled eggs). Jerki and Polo restaurants wold not recommend ta all unless you like cheap food from Walmart (it is 5 stars resort!!!) Definitely does not worth $5-6 k. I feel ripped off.

Great service and relaxing

My girlfriend and I did the fortune of 5 and did not know where we were staying until a week before. We were a little nervous after reading some of the reviews, not sure what their standards are... but it was an amazing trip and an amazing resort! Once we found out where we were staying, I called the resort and requested a king bed for our room. They were able to accommodate it for us and even upgraded the view of our room for free! Front desk/concierge were very helpful in setting us up with transportation and excursions. The internet/tvs were down the first couple days, but we were there for vacation and the beach, not to be on social media! The room was very nice and clean the whole time. They come multiple times a day to clean and restock the fridge. If they forgot to give you something, all you have to do is call and they will bring it for you. Our butler, Fabian, was on top of it, every day. He even reserved us chairs at the beach and had a bucket of water and books waiting for us there. He took care of all of our needs! All of the restaurants are 5 star, the food was all amazing, however not all of them are open everyday, but we got to try all of them over our 6 day stay and were very satisfied. I don't drink coffee, but my girlfriend does and she said the coffee at the coco cafe is the best she's ever had. I recommend going to Jerky Jos for your lunches as it is open from 11-3 everyday. Breakfast is always at Coyaba, the escoveitched fish was AMAZING! Conoa was my favorite place for dinner, when it is open for dinner, I highly recommend. The polo restaurant serves tapas, so if you're going there for a full meal, definitely order 3-4 each! When ordering drinks, if you're not picky, I recommend letting your service choose. I probably tried 20 different drinks and they were all amazing. The beach and pool were small, but there are more chairs than people at the resort. It was very relaxing and nice to be able to just lay out and not have to deal with a million people. There were no kids at the resort either, not sure if they aren't allowed, but them not being there was awesome. There was some entertainment during the night at Coyaba, but this resort is definitely catered to more of relaxing than partying. If you are going as just you and your spouse, highly recommend. If you are going with a group of friends or a family with younger kids, this probably isn't the resort for you. I will definitely be back here in the future!

Didn't want to leave ...

Resort is very small (only 49 suites) and intimate. We've stayed at dozens of tropical all-inclusives and this one has by far the best service. The staff is incredible: well trained, enthusiastic and obviously happy in their jobs. We were thoroughly spoiled. Resort is quiet. The guests seemed to be mostly couples. If you're looking for a loud, festive, no-inhibitions environment, or even someplace to hook up with other singles, this probably isn't the place. Drinks were free-flowing and the nightly entertainment (solo singer, a saxophonist so good you could weep) was superb, but the atmosphere is more elegant and refined than, say, a Riu or Bahia resort. We loved it, but we also like the larger resorts on occasion, so just saying ... Special mention to our resort butler TeJay, our beach butler Mr. Sunshine, "Jo" the grilling chef in the beachside Jerk Shack, our maid Gena, "Beard" the beach guy, plus the many waiters and bartenders and front desk staff who went out of their way to make sure we had a romantic anniversary/Valentines Day. Thank you. The only suggestion for improvement would be the beds. Our mattress was a pillowtop king, but it was still a little firm for comfort as I have arthritis issues. We requested a mattress-topper but the staff wasn't aware of such a thing. Management: you can get the roll-up foam toppers with pressure-point relief (looks like a foam egg-crate) for $20 online. Easily added to the bed for guests with back/joint issues; and just as easily removed and stored when not needed. But that's a small fix .. we really loved this place, and would happily return.

LOVED THIS PLACE!!

From the moment that I checked into this resort the service was impeccable. I stayed solo but I didnt feel like I was there alone. The resort is a relaxation resort so if you are looking for a party vibe this is not for you. The food was amazing, my personal butler was friendly, the massage by Michael is THE BEST in the world!! The bartenders are all great, they know how to make the best cocktails. The jerk chicken chef Oshane, the server Sunshine, the groundsman Garnett, the bartender Shane, the housekeeper Merlene, Kevaughn who is the jack of all trades, Shernette did my check in- Orlando who was the security I knew everyone I came into contact by name I was super impressed by this resort and believe me I have stayed at many in the island. I will definitely return, I felt relaxed and refreshed and would have it no other way. The rooms were awesome and I loved the room service and all the amenities this resort has to offer. I cant express how much I love this place. So happy that everywhere else was sold out when I booked and you were my choice!!!
